The JARO Institute<\/a>\u00a0has been researching and sharing knowledge on sustainability and digitization since 2018. It was already planned to offer online knowledge transfer via the JARO Academy, but this plan accelerated due to the COVID pandemic.<\/p>\n

Therefore, when selecting a service provider, it was important to find one that largely met the requirements and could close remaining gaps quickly and reliably. In addition, the data center had to be located in Germany and operate with certified green electricity.<\/p>\n

Through research and networking, the JARO Institute has built a rich training portfolio. However, not every training element is relevant for every learner. Depending on the industry, products, company size, or role, learners should be able to set priorities.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the JARO Institute opted for a modular principle, allowing learners to choose which content to focus on. This approach combines a high degree of individualization with efficient backend maintenance and administration, which guided the implementation of the digital academy.<\/p>\n

While complex learning plans are already available in the cimoio standard, STL GmbH implemented a feature enabling learners to select a limited number of trainings. From 40 individual modules, learners can choose based on self-organized learning principles. For this, minimum and maximum numbers of modules are defined and included when purchasing a curriculum.<\/p>\n

In addition, the academy sought certification from the ZFU (Germany\u2019s National Central Office for Distance Learning) for both content and system processes.<\/p>\n

STL GmbH iteratively implemented the requirements of the JARO Institute. The learning plans were designed as desired – in particular the usage restrictions. In the certification phase, the ZFU’s change requirements were implemented quickly and efficiently.<\/p>\n

The JARO Academy consists of the cimoio basis module<\/a> supplemented with all the necessary elements to be able to play our digital content in high quality. The learners are also subjected to an examination in order for us to be able to award them a certificate. Feedback is also a relevant element to ask for possible improvements from the user’s perspective, especially in the market entry phase. In addition, the online catalog with the registration process for new customers and the shopping cart process were essential.<\/p>\n

The customers of the JARO Academy are very pleased that they are not forced into the rigid construct of a monolithic and linear learning plan but can decide for themselves in many places which focal points and accents they want to set in the course.<\/p>\n
