Player for digital media
A lot of digital content can already be provided in the basic module of cimoio. But in the cimoio expansion module of our training management software a “Digital Media Player” is included. This you can use for eLearnings in SCORM format, link videos on an external platform or simply to provide PDFs. All digital media is managed as learning material.
For each of these learning materials, there are different ways to assess whether they have been “learned.” In the case of a PDF, for example, the question is whether you consider opening the PDF as “read and understood”. Or would you rather ask your participants explicitly whether they have learned the document? The same goes for a video – is it seen just because it played from start to finish? What if the participants fast forwarded?
eLearnings in SCORM format are more precise: they show where the participant paused. If there is a test in the eLearning, the SCORM format reports whether it was passed or not. cimoio can interpret and further process these statuses. All of this distinct status information is managed by the digital media player. If pushing the play or open button is enough for you, though, the cimoio basic module is enough.
eFeedback
We all know, that participant feedback is worth gold. So, to request the feedback and evaluate the reuslts may be a standard. But what if you do not only want to get feedback from participants after the training, but also ask before, what their expectations are and pass this on to the instructor? Or if you want to create a proof of knowledge transfer and therefore want to ask automatically a year after the training , what still is in use of the training contents? In all those cases, the eFeedback module of cimoio helps you to create the questionnaires, digital provision including automated and scheduled mailings, and the anlysis of the results.

Interfaces
Interfaces are needed by practically every customer on a smaller or larger scale. Starting with interfaces to import data from legacy system(s) – which are usually used only once.
Depending on your training perspective of training emplyees or customers, often a connection to data sources for employee or customer master data is needed. This interface is normally built for regular exchange. If an ERP is involved in the overall training processes, especially for order management, it is also possible that a bi-directional interface is needed, which sends data from cimoio to the ERP and from the ERP back to cimoio, e.g. price information calculated in the ERP.
Qualification management
You want to automatically assign trainings to new employees, to ensure they have a good start? Or you want to automatically inform employees, when a training, which needs to be refreshed regularly, is due to be repeated? Maybe you need a dashboard for your team supervisors, how far along their taem members are with their mandatory trainings? Then the qualification module is exactly right for you. It is also a pre-requisite for usign the authorization module.
The qualification module is included in the cimoio basis module, but is only activated and trained for, when the need arises. Therefore, we do not have a 100% coverage in users for this module.

Technical clients
Structuring the system into technical clients is one of the many possibilities in cimoio to control views on content and the use of functionalities. This works for administrators for trainings in the back end as well as for customers in the front end. There are several possibilities:
- parallelization of clients – e.g. to split the system for departments, subsidiaries in different locations, or even countries
- hierarchization of clients – e.g. to split the system into a central training administration with product responsibilities and de-central training administration with event planning responsibilities
- a combination of both
Starting from this concept, separate structures for visibility and functionality can then be designed for customers and administrators.
E-Test
With the e-test module you create digital tests that can be completely evaluated by cimoio, so that the result is available as soon as participants hand over their answers. You have the choice between various types of examination questions: texts with gaps to fill in, single and multiple choice, sorting answers, drag and drop assignment exercises and more.
These e-tests can be used for self-evaluations of participants (with unlimited repetitions for them to see their progress in studying) or as a test in the “real” situation at the end of a training e.g. as the pre-requisite for handing out a certificate or even assigning a qualification (with only one chance to pass – or more depending on settings you choose). There are no limits to your creativity: you can use the e-test as an automated evaluation of your participants, as a mandatory pre-requisite for participation in a course, or in a blended learning scenario as the pre-requisite to enter the next phase of a learning plan.

Connectors
The diversity of possibilities for digital communication is also applied in training business. No matter, in which way you communicate with customers and employees: cimoio supports you. For some systems we have standardized connectors. For example: vitero, GoTo-Meeting, or MS Teams.
eCommerce module
This module is designed for companies that sell their trainings to external customers. It contains the portal for bookers with a catalog and search for the selection of events as well as registration and log-in-processes – with automated password-reset-functionality.
In addition, the portal for administrators – in the back end – contains the complete chain from offer, order confirmation, and invoice. Since most of our customers with eCommerce also use an ERP, we can also transfer the objects via interface to the ERP – and thus ensure that your accounting and cimoio work together closely in your order management process.

Process-Engine
Whenever you want to automate processes in cimoio, we give you a powerful tool: the process engine, which allows you to create processes on your own largely by yourself, so that only in few special situations programming is needed. The used modelling lanugage is BPMN (Business Process Modelling Notation). An example use case can be: Request forms for employees for trainings outside the standard catalog of your company. The approval process is dynamic and can involve the supervisor, the person responsible for the cost center, personnel development, HR who can be requested for approval or denial in an order defined by you – including fields with a reason for their decision. The process is also able to send out defined mailing templates to process participants at defined trigger points.

Credit-Points
With this module credit points can be assigned to products or single training events. In training business, credit pointsare then used as a metric in particular domains, where employees need to remain on the most current state of information, e.g. in insurances or medical and caretaking domains. These credit points can either be documented in cimoio for audits – like for the IDD regulation – or they can be passed on to external systems like in the german insurance sector to the “gut beraten” database.
Apprenticeship administration
This module aims to support companies, that manage apprenticeships in cimoio, additionally to the training of employees. Part of that are processes like scheduling the time apprentices are in different departments and under the tutelage of which employee during the practical phases and during terms for theoretical vocational training – either as blocks or as individual days.
This also includes the digital report portfolio with the necessary approval process with tutor and repsonsible person for the apprentices.

Hotel module
This module is used by customers that operate lodging capacities jointly with their training business and in addition offer catering service. They can efficiently manage the utilization of rooms and even beds, create housekeeping lists for arrivals, departures, and stays. Also managing of customer numbers for breakfast, lunch, and dinner guests is ensured and participant numbers for coffee breaks can be issued.
Contract and supplier management
Companies, that rent rooms and book trainers on a regular basis usually need to handle a fair amount of contracts and suppliers – if there is not yet an ERP available for that, cimoio can handle that task for you.
You find your contracts with a supplier well-arranged and with different access rights depending on security levels, you can restrict access to documents to responsible roles.
